I know it's kinda late, but if you haven't already made plans for New Year's Eve, you really should check out family-funtastic Granby Ranch. Kick up your heels from 4-9:30 at Granby Ranch's family dance party! Then, bundle up and head out to the snow, because you won't want to miss out on the glow wand parade and torchlight ski parade down the mountain! In years past, kids have often carried red flares as they weave in and out of the trees, coming down the mountain in a gorgeous procession, sometimes accompanied by Granby Ranch's Siberian Tiger Mascot.
Then, at 6:00, the moment you've all been waiting for--an incredible fireworks display! Now, I have to say that this is such a family-friendly, and even romantic moment, as you are bundled up in the snow with the ones you love and the fireworks are cracking right over your head. It is so beautiful and inspiring! One year, a young man even used this incredible moment to get down on one knee and propose to his love in front of the whole crowd, who all cheered for him when she said, "Yes!"
This truly is an event you won't want to miss! And as a bonus, it gets you off the roads before all the crazies come out, so you can ring the New Year in with fabulous fun, style, and safety for all you love!
Some properties, including the ski-in/ski-out homes and condos at Granby Ranch and Edgewater Cabin Community, can see the fireworks from their balconies. What an awesome place to call home!
Have a wonderful and safe New Year! I hope to see you at the Base! :)
